Yard signs, done properly

Most yard signs are bought on price and thrown away in a month, and for a one-off promotion that is the right call. The trouble starts when a sign that gets pulled and replanted forty times a year is ordered on the same spec as an election sign.

Two things decide how long a yard sign lasts: what it is printed on, and what holds it up. We print and laminate in house, so the colour is protected rather than exposed, and we match the substrate to how the sign will actually be handled rather than to the cheapest line on the quote.

Tell us how long it needs to stand and how often it moves, and we will point you at the right material.

Substrates, longest life first

Three materials cover effectively every yard sign we print.

Aluminium

.040 and heavier. Years of outdoor life, will not flex or soften, takes grommets and frames. See aluminium sign panels.

Aluminium Composite

Rigid, light for its size, and routs to any outline rather than a rectangle. The workhorse for larger yard panels.

Corrugated Plastic

The short-term option. Elections, open houses, seasonal promotions — anything measured in weeks rather than years.

Real estate and agent signs

Agents and brokerages are the steadiest yard sign work we do, and the requirements are different from a one-off promotion. A sign that goes in and out of the ground all year fails at the stake, not the print.

For listings that get reused we print on rigid substrate rather than corrugated, laminate so the colour holds through a Texas summer, and set the frame or stake to match how it actually gets handled. Riders, sold panels and directional arrows print to the same run so the set matches.

Brokerages ordering in quantity get the same published pricing whether it is ten signs or a hundred. See real estate signs for post and panel work.

Stakes, frames and how it stands up

The sign is half the job. What holds it up decides whether it is still standing after the first storm.

H-wire stakes

Suit corrugated plastic and light rigid panels for short runs — open houses, promotions, elections. Fast to plant, cheap to replace, not intended to survive a season of wind.

Step stakes & angle iron

Carry heavier rigid panels and take repeated planting without bending out of true. The right call for contractor and agent signs that move constantly.

Frames

The answer for anything reused week after week. The panel drops in and out without damaging the print, and the frame takes the abuse instead.

For anything above 4×4 or on open ground, tell us the site and we will spec the mounting rather than guess.

Common questions

How long does a corrugated plastic yard sign last?

Printed and laminated, a corrugated sign holds up for a few months outdoors. It is built for weeks rather than years — for anything that needs to stand through a season, aluminium or composite is the right call.

What size are most yard signs?

18×24 is the common size for open house and promotional signs. Contractor and real estate panels run larger, commonly 24×36 and 4×8. We cut to any size rather than a fixed catalogue.

Can you print double sided?

Yes. Most real estate and roadside signs are printed both sides so they read from either direction of travel.

Do you do bulk pricing for brokerages and contractors?

Yes, and it is published on the price guide rather than quoted differently each time.
