Founded in 1976 as Mike Davis Signs. Sonia and Adam have owned and run the shop since 2012 — same building on Walger Avenue, same phone number, and rather more machinery than there used to be.

The shop opened in 1976 as Mike Davis Signs, making signs for businesses around Rosenberg and Fort Bend County. It has been at the same address on Walger Avenue ever since.
We took it over in 2012 as the second owners and renamed it Intrepid Signs. What we inherited was almost fifty years of local relationships, a good deal of signage still standing around the county, and a reputation we would rather build on than spend.
We are not going to claim this has been in one family since 1976, because it has not. What is true is that signs have been made continuously from this building for that long, and we are the people making them now.
What we decided to be good at
Rigid panels, not plastic
National sites print corrugated cheaply and ship it fast. We went the other way — aluminium, composite, wood, Lexan and acrylic, which are too heavy to ship and need somebody local.
Laminated, always
Every print gets a clear protective layer over the ink. It costs more once and considerably less over the life of the sign, and it is the reason our older work still reads.
Cut in house
A router and a laser on site, so shapes, letters and logos are made here rather than ordered from a trade supplier and waited on.
Sonia and Adam
We bought the shop in 2012 and we still run it ourselves. Between us we handle the quoting, the design, the printing and a fair share of the installs — which is why the person who answers the phone can usually tell you straight away whether an idea will work.
It also means we are accountable in a way a franchise manager is not. If a sign we made is not right, we are the ones who come back out and fix it.

Same address, same phone
1700 Walger Avenue, Suite E. The business has changed hands and changed its legal name, but the address and the phone number have not moved. If you had a sign made here in 1990, you can call the same number about replacing it.

We serve Fort Bend, Brazoria, Wharton and Matagorda Counties, and we still drive out to the places the national franchises quote reluctantly.
CNC routed & laser cut
We run both a router and a laser, which means shapes, letters and panels are cut here rather than ordered in. Acrylic takes a polished edge off the laser; the router handles wood, aluminium composite and PVC with depth and dimension.
