The sign that stands on its own

Post and panel signs are the free-standing boards you see on undeveloped lots, construction sites, commercial property for sale and along the approach to a business that sits back from the road. No building to mount to, no foundation to pour — just a panel and the posts holding it up.

We build them digitally printed and laminated, which is the part that decides how they look after a year outside. The panel goes on aluminum, aluminum composite or corrugated plastic depending on how long it needs to stand and what the wind exposure is.

Skid mounted, post mounted or set in the ground — tell us the site and we will tell you which one it wants.

Three ways to stand a panel up

The mounting decides the cost, the lifespan and whether you can move it later. Most sites suit one of these clearly.

Most flexible

Skid mounted

  • Sits on a weighted frame, nothing dug
  • Relocates as the site changes
  • No ground disturbance or restoration
  • The default for active construction
Longest standing

In-ground posts

  • Posts set below grade for stability
  • Best wind resistance of the three
  • Right for multi-year installations
  • Leaves ground to make good on removal
Quick and light

Surface post mounted

  • Bolted to existing hardstanding or a base
  • Fast to install and to take down
  • Suits smaller panels and short-term boards
  • Needs something solid to fix to

Panel material decides the lifespan

Corrugated plastic is the cheapest and right for a sign measured in months — a lot campaign, a short build. Aluminum composite handles a multi-year installation without oil-canning. Solid aluminum is what we reach for when the panel is large, exposed, or expected to outlive the project.

All three take the same digitally printed and laminated graphic. The laminate is why a two-year-old board of ours still reads from the road, and why unlaminated flatbed UV work on the same street has gone chalky.

If the sign needs updating as a project progresses — sold banners, new lead contractor, phase changes — say so now and we will build it to take overlays rather than a full reprint.

How a post and panel job runs

01

Site and duration

Where it goes, how long it stands, what the wind exposure is. That decides mounting and material.

02

Artwork

Send print-ready files, or we build the layout from logos and project details.

03

Print & fabricate

Digitally printed, laminated, mounted to the panel and framed for the chosen mounting.

04

Install or collect

We set it on site across the four counties, or you collect from the Rosenberg shop.

Sites across four counties

Fort Bend County is where most of this work sits — residential development around Richmond, Fulshear and Needville, commercial build-out in Katy and Sugar Land, and the industrial corridors through Stafford and Missouri City.

Further out, the work changes character. Oilfield service yards and agricultural operations in Wharton and Matagorda Counties need facility and gate signage more than they need marketing boards, and those are jobs the national franchises will not drive for. See commercial real estate and land signs or construction signage.

Cut in house

CNC routed & laser cut

We run both a router and a laser, which means shapes, letters and panels are cut here rather than ordered in. Acrylic takes a polished edge off the laser; the router handles wood, aluminium composite and PVC with depth and dimension.

CNC & laser cutting

Acrylic Laser cut letters, logos and panels with a polished edge
Wood Routed and carved, cut to shape at depth
Aluminium composite Contour cut rigid panels and shaped signs
PVC & Lexan Clean contours for indoor and outdoor use

Common questions

What is the difference between a post and panel sign and a yard sign?

Scale and lifespan. A yard sign is corrugated plastic on a wire step stake, sized for a lawn and measured in weeks. A post and panel sign is a rigid panel on timber or steel posts, sized to be read from a road and built to stand for months or years.

How long will one last outside?

Corrugated plastic panels are a months-long proposition. Aluminum composite and solid aluminum with laminated graphics hold up for several years in this climate, with south-facing faces fading first.

Can the sign be updated as the project changes?

Yes, if we know in advance. We can build the panel to take overlay sections for changing contractors, phases or a sold banner, which is far cheaper than reprinting the whole face.

Do you install, or do I?

Either. We install across the four counties we serve. Skid mounted signs are straightforward for a site crew to place themselves, and plenty of contractors collect them from the shop.

What size should a job site sign be?

It depends on how far back it sits and how fast traffic passes. A board read from a 45 mph road needs considerably more size than one at a site gate. Tell us the setback and the speed and we will size it.

Do you handle sign permits?

We do not handle permitting in house. We can refer you to a partner who does, and we will build to whatever dimensions your approval specifies.
