Your closest sign shop, by some distance

We are a sign company serving Richmond, TX from a shop that is essentially next door — Rosenberg and Richmond share a boundary, and most Richmond addresses are under ten minutes from our door on Walger Avenue.

Locally owned and in business since 1976, we have been making signs for Richmond businesses for the whole of that time: storefronts and building signs, pylons, banners, window graphics, job site signage and wide format printing.

Richmond is the Fort Bend County seat, which shapes the work more than people expect. Between the historic downtown and the Grand Parkway growth, it is two very different jobs.

Historic downtown, or the new corridor

Richmond runs from an 1837 county seat with a genuine historic district to master-planned development pushing west. The signage those two want could not be less alike.

Historic Richmond

Downtown & Morton Street

  • Older buildings, often with facade constraints
  • Signage expected to suit the district’s character
  • Independents, professional offices, county business
  • Hand-finished and dimensional work over plastic
  • Window lettering does a great deal of the work
West Richmond

Grand Parkway growth

  • Aliana, Long Meadow Farms, Harvest Green, Pecan Grove
  • New retail centres and first-generation fit-outs
  • Landlord sign criteria issued with the lease
  • Medical, dental and professional suites
  • Full sign packages rather than replacements

Where the work is

Being the county seat means Richmond carries a concentration of professional business you would not expect from its size — law offices, title companies, surveyors, insurance and accountancy clustered around the Fort Bend County courthouse and the historic district.

OakBend Medical Center anchors a healthcare cluster of its own, and the practices around it need suite identification, building signage and printed material rather than roadside advertising.

West of town, along the Grand Parkway and out through Aliana, Harvest Green and Long Meadow Farms, it is new construction: job site boards during the build and full fit-outs when the units let. Lamar CISD schools and the businesses serving them keep the banner and printing side busy year round.

How a Richmond job runs

01

Call or send photos

Tell us what the sign has to do and where it goes. Photographs of the frontage answer most questions.

02

Design

We lay it out, and if you are in a leased unit we design to the sign criteria your landlord has issued.

03

Print & fabricate

Made in the Rosenberg shop. Digitally printed and laminated, not flatbed UV direct.

04

Install

We come out to Richmond and install — roughly under ten minutes from the shop.

The neighbouring shop advantage

Proximity is not marketing here, it is practical. A site visit in Richmond costs us a few minutes, which means we will come and look at something before quoting rather than guessing from a description. If a panel needs adjusting on install, the shop is ten minutes away rather than an afternoon.

We have been at the same address since 1976, and a good share of Richmond’s older businesses have signage we made. See also our Fulshear and Needville pages, or the Fort Bend County overview.

Cut in house

CNC routed & laser cut

We run both a router and a laser, which means shapes, letters and panels are cut here rather than ordered in. Acrylic takes a polished edge off the laser; the router handles wood, aluminium composite and PVC with depth and dimension.

CNC & laser cutting

Acrylic Laser cut letters, logos and panels with a polished edge
Wood Routed and carved, cut to shape at depth
Aluminium composite Contour cut rigid panels and shaped signs
PVC & Lexan Clean contours for indoor and outdoor use

Common questions

How far are you from Richmond?

Under ten minutes. Rosenberg and Richmond share a boundary and our shop is on Walger Avenue, which makes site visits practical rather than something we charge to avoid.

Are there restrictions on signage in historic downtown Richmond?

Older districts commonly carry expectations about how signage suits the surrounding buildings, over and above the standard requirements. We design to whatever your approval specifies — and dimensional lettering and window work usually sit better downtown than large plastic faces regardless.

Can you do signage for a professional office rather than a shop?

Yes, and around the courthouse that is a lot of what we do. Law offices, title companies and accountancies generally need building identification, suite signage and printed material more than roadside advertising.

Can you work with my landlord’s sign criteria?

Yes. Most leased retail units come with sign criteria covering size, type and materials. Send it over before anything is designed — it constrains the whole job and we design to it.

How quickly can you turn a job around?

Simple banners and window graphics with ready artwork often go out in a few business days. Fabricated signage takes longer. We are open Monday through Thursday, so call early in the week.

Do you handle sign permits?

No, not in house. We can refer you to a partner who does, and we build to whatever dimensions and placement your approval specifies.
