Two machines, because one is not enough

We run a CNC router and a laser, and they do genuinely different jobs. The router removes material with a spinning cutter, which is what you want for depth — carved wood, dimensional lettering, thick aluminium composite. The laser cuts with a focused beam, which is what you want for acrylic, because it seals the edge as it cuts and leaves a polished finish with no sanding or flame-polishing afterwards.

Most shops in this region have one or the other and quietly steer you toward whatever theirs does well. We will tell you which machine your job wants and why.

Everything is cut here in Rosenberg. Nothing goes out to a trade supplier and comes back a week later.

Router or laser?

You do not need to know before you call, but it explains why some jobs cost what they do and why some materials are a bad idea on the wrong machine.

Focused beam

Laser cutting

  • Acrylic, above all — polished edge, no finishing
  • Intricate detail and tight interior contours
  • Engraving on wood and thin substrates
  • Fast on fine work, clean with no post-processing
  • Not for thick aluminium or deep carving
Spinning cutter

CNC routing

  • Wood, aluminium composite, PVC, Lexan, foam
  • Depth — carving, stepped relief, dimension
  • Large panels and heavier stock
  • Built-up and layered lettering
  • Edges need finishing on some materials

What we need from you

Vector artwork cuts cleanly — .ai, .eps, .svg, .dxf or a PDF with live vectors. A logo saved as a JPEG has no outline for a machine to follow, so it has to be redrawn first, which is a real cost worth knowing about before you are surprised by it.

If all you have is a photograph or a scan, send it anyway. Redrawing is routine and often quick. We would rather quote it honestly up front than pretend it is free.

Tell us the material, the finished size, the quantity and whether it mounts flush or on stand-offs. That is usually enough to price it.

How a cutting job runs

01

Artwork check

We look at what you have sent and tell you whether it cuts as-is or needs redrawing.

02

Material & machine

Router or laser, and which substrate. This is where cost is decided.

03

Cut

Run here in Rosenberg. Acrylic comes off the laser polished; routed work is finished as needed.

04

Finish or install

Collected, packed, or installed — including stand-off mounting across the four counties.

Cutting for the whole region

Businesses across Rosenberg, Richmond, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Katy and Stafford use us for reception logos, cut lettering and shaped panels. Further out through El Campo, Wharton, Bay City and Manvel, routed wood is the more common ask — ranch entrances, gate signs and property identification.

We also cut for other trades. If you are a fabricator, builder or designer needing parts cut rather than a finished sign, that is a normal order here.

Common questions

What is the difference between CNC routing and laser cutting?

A router physically removes material with a spinning cutter, which suits depth, carving and heavier stock like wood and aluminium composite. A laser cuts with a focused beam and is best on acrylic, where it seals the edge as it cuts and leaves a polished finish that needs no further work.

What thickness of acrylic can you cut?

A wide range of standard sheet thicknesses, in clear, frosted, coloured and mirrored. Tell us the finished size and how it mounts and we will advise the thickness — larger letters generally need thicker stock to stay flat.

What file format do you need?

Vector artwork cuts directly: .ai, .eps, .svg, .dxf, or a PDF with live vectors. A JPEG or PNG has no outline for the machine to follow and has to be redrawn first, which we will quote separately rather than hide.

Can you cut metal?

We cut aluminium composite panel, which is aluminium skins over a solid core, and that covers most sign applications. Solid plate metal cutting is not something we do in house.

Do you cut parts for other trades?

Yes. Fabricators, builders and designers regularly send us cut lists for parts rather than finished signs. Send the vector files and material and we will quote it.

Can you mount cut letters on stand-offs?

Yes, and we install across the four counties we serve. Stand-off mounting holds the letters proud of the wall so they cast a shadow, which is what gives a reception sign its depth.
